Abandoned car causing danger of death

Reported via mobile in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 00:51, Fri 6 November 2020

Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later

Reg no: Y168 enp. Abandoned on Harcourt Road grass verge, double yellow lines between house no.s 5 and 13. I nearly got run over crossing road yesterday as moving car was blocked from vision by car parked on verge which has been there 3 months. Have previously had to slam brakes on leaving my property as moving car blocked by abandoned vehicle. Other neighbours have experienced same, including children. Personally keep having flashbacks to nearly being hit by a car, it was terrifying.

Updates

  • Nothing has changed except several more near miss accidents involving children and adults. It's ridiculous that this is allowed to happen, it's been about 5 months since this car was first abandoned and the council have done nothing.

  • Still no action has been taken and abandoned vehicle still causing severe problems. Council emailed me once, requesting more information which I provided several weeks ago. Never heard from them again.

  • There are abandoned cars in the location of this pin on the end of the Southern by Pass Rd (house number 89), but the poster says the "Abandoned on Harcourt Road grass verge, double yellow lines between house no.s 5 and 13" This pin is nowhere near any 'Harcourt Road' or any house number 5 or 13. It may help to put the pin in the right place.
