This morning I witnessed and aided a 10 year old child who was hit by a car on Hollow Way Road, opposites the tool shop - as identified in the above map. Thankfully the child remained conscious and I drove him to his house for his parents to take over. This areas is notorious for hazardous pedestrian use with countless children, college students and families using the roads each day. There is no crosswalk on this section and this needs to be added immediately beforehand a child or adult is killed. Today was bad enough but it shows something must be done. The lights and crosswalk further down the road are not enough for the neighbouring community that walks this area and enters/exits Horsepath Park. Please immediately find a solution with speed bumps or lights and a designated crosswalk somewhere between the park and the tool shop. I and many in the community would appreciate urgent attention to this safety concern.
