Running water on cycle track

Sent to Stevenage Borough Council less than a minute later

The spring in the Ridlings Mear (Middlesex and Herts Wildlife Trust) has now found a way onto the cycle track (parallel to Gresley Way off the A602. This will be a problem in the near future when it freezes. - major hazard for cyclists and walkers. Also sent message to Trust.

  • Yes, please make it public. The problem has NOT been fixed. Contacted BOTH Hertfordshire County Council and Hertfordshire & Middlesex Wild Life Trust today and discussed with their team member that the problem needs sorted urgently. As indicated if it freezes, it will be a hazard. It was frozen this morning. Needs to be sorted. HCC have one day to fulfil their agreed time scale.

  • Thank you, this has been fixed and the cycle way widened back to it’s full width.

  • Not impressed with HCC - didn’t see it as a safety issue. Had to contact Stevenage Mayor to get action. Now perfect
