Path blocked causing pedestrians having to walk on edge of busy road
Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 13:46, Wed 21 October 2020
Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2351123.
This is a busy pedestrian route to and from the infants and junior schools and in the other direction the secondary school in Odiham. The path has become very narrow due to an over grown bush. When walking past now you are unable to hold a small child's hand and walk side by side as one of you would be in the busy road at the roundabout junction. Even single file young children are very close to the edge. The road is the through road to Alton and is used by large lorries. In addition it means half the bench is unable to be used. The location is as you come out of West Street by where the road is blocked to cars and turn right as a pedestrian the issue is just there on your right. Many thanks.

The bushes are to the side of the properly 2 West Street, Odiham. The issue is becoming increasingly dangerous with cars pulling to their left close to the kerb to go straight over and pedestrians having to get closer to the kerb to her around the overgrown plant. The plant also blocks the line of sight of the drivers as to children and pedestrians on the path so as that they can see any potential risks/hazards early.
