Tree roots are causing damage and the tree is too large for the area

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2347139.
The engineers are here currently digging up the path but this will not resolve the problem. The tree is far too large for the area and the roots are going to raise the path once again. They are currently also raising our drive. It's unfair to any householder to have to suffer an out of control tree which is causing damage to their property. In the eight years we have lived here the path has been repaired twice because of the tree roots. This tree needs to be removed and a smaller one planted in it's place if necessary.
