Water pouring from a drain (not foul)

Reported via desktop anonymously at 18:20, Sun 18 October 2020

Sent to Stratford-on-Avon District Council and Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

An unusual amount of water is emerging from this drain and has been for at least 2 days now (on road by triangular piece of land). This village is prone to natural springs. There is another drain which pours its contents into the cellar of the Plough Inn (GL56 9QX) every time it rains heavily - reported on 3.9.20, followed by 2 phone calls but still no action.

  • Water is still flowing out of this drain - not just when it rains - and the water is streaming across the road. Definitely a hazard when we have frost or snow. I am unsure whether the drain was cleared at all when the vehicle turned up in the village a few weeks ago. The problem may be other than just a blocked drain.
