Sent to Oxford City Council less than a minute later

The graffiti was sprayed by a young man (15-20) in blue & black puffy jacket with hood, on a bicycle abt 3 months ago. He was riding a bike on pavement front off flats had spray paint can in hand & wrote "Voke". The same graffiti is loads of places. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

  • Thank you for the report we will pass on the BT box to Openreach. can you let me know the location of the fence as it has offensive graffiti on it

  • Per your request.....

The footpath cut through if you walk from Rose Hill down hill about 5mins towards War Memorial (there is a bus stop on other side of road with steps and a long railing) the cut thru runs with Church railings/Cemetery one side, & back houses with diff garden fencing on other. You can walk all way along to Cowley Center (where you'll see more graffiti everywhere of same). It does seem like some owners try to clean off themselves & then graffiti is once again sprayed.

I hope I have provided enough in order for this location to be observed. Thank you.

    ALSO -

PLEASE FOLLOW-UP ON "VOKE" GRAFFITI ON BT GREEN METAL BOX IN FRONT OF FLATS BETWEEN EASTERN AVE & NEWMAN RD WHICH IS WHAT REALLY WOULD LIKE CLEANING QUICKLY. DO NOT APPRECIATE HAVING TO SEE THE BRIGHT AQUA GRAFFITI EVERY TIME EXIT FROM FRONT DOOR. IT HAS BEEN THERE APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS & ESPECIALLY SINCE IT WAS WITNESSED. ANOTHER WORKER IN YELLOW JACKET VEST WAS CHECKING FOR A POT HOLE IN EXACT SAME AREA THIS PAST WEEK (shows as just recently reported). THE WORKER WAS STANDING DIRECTLY FACING THE GRAFFITI FROM ACROSS THE STREET. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR FOLLOWING UP AGAIN ON THIS BT BOX.

  • I still don't know where the offensive graffiti is but never mind I will locate it myself. members of the public can report damage to BT boxes and phone boxes themselves, you don't need to report it to City/County. Just because a person wears hi-viz clothing does not make it their responsibility to report or remove graffiti.

  • I believe if you read prior update requested info given above. Cowley Footpath is name on arrow sign at Footpath entry on Rose Hill Road.

Why only the offensive graffiti? The area has gotten more & more graffiti as "per walk today" to Cowley Center thru the Cowley Footpath alley way. Why are updates not sent to the Council? The reports should remain open until fully resolved.

I'll be more than happy to meet you at the beginning of the footpath & accompany you however, all one has to do is walk down & you'll see it in plain view. Email me if you need escorting. Thank you in advance.

  • Have 20 diff graffiti photos...new ones taken on 19th October, 2020. Unfortunately not able to upload all but 3 pictures each time. It appears some have attempted to be coveted over however, green cover up used is not holding well with the moisture/rain. This needs to be pressure washed off. If I was able, I wld take care of the entire footpath walk myself. Unfortunately being an aged person, & need to access residents water supply for the pressure washer usage I'm not in a position to help our local residents & community as a "TEAM" effort. Several people have voiced the discussed of the sight. I have encouraged they use this web site however, the collective response is "already called, reported. Nothing gets done about it". Please pass this on to those who can help. I would like to request this not get closed until it is all taken care of on this "public foothpath". Thank you in advance for all efforts.

  • Can something be done about this Voke menace? He is spoiling the environment all over south Oxford and has been getting away with it for a considerable time. The police should make a proper effort to identify and arrest him.

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 04:11, Friday 20 November 2020

  • Not fixed. Graffiti still on BT metal box #36 as first reported by Oxford Rd, Littlemore, OX4 4QP and flats opposite Newman Rd. There is A LOT ALL OVER the area!!! Why are the reports closed as fixed, they should "remain open" until ALL fixed.

  • NOT FIXED

Having the report is one thing. Closing as "FIXED" when its not fixed is another. False data reporting regardless of who would be the responsible party, or parties, to eradicate the issue at hand. So who follows up on the initial reports that are closed, and not fixed??? This is Oxford City, all citizens should feel able to report, and not feel unheard as several individuals have voiced! Fix my street appears to be selective on issues. Where is the follow up by "Fix my Street" to keep this issue at hand until resolved???

  • NOT fixed. BT box originally posted not fixed. All other graffiti remains an eye sore (destruction of property, unrespectful).

Posted anonymously at 19:13, Wednesday 25 November 2020

  • BT box & graffiti still unresolved as of 25th November.
