Hedges overgrowing onto pavement

Sent to East Sussex County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 00508205.

Publicly owned land. The shrubbery is overgrown and is now covering almost half of the pavement. People with pushchairs, mobility scooters or disabilities are unable to pass safely along the footpath. School children are also unable to pass safely and are forced into the road.

    Thank you for your report on 11 October 2020 about shrubbery obstructing the footway on College Road in Bexhill.

    I am writing to inform you that the local Highways Steward has inspected the area and found vegetation in need of cutting back. This has now been passed to the Enforcement Team for further investigation and any necessary action.
