Road subsidence getting worse

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2328097.

This is a problem section of Lady Drove due to I think the lleylandii sucking out all moisture from the sub-soil. It was only last spring (March 2019) when this road was given a full and solid repair, but obviously not good enough as it's becoming 'dipped' again, and even since last week, the subsidence is becoming deeper. Isn't it time that the council asked the landowner to remove the lleylandii to save taxpayers money? Otherwise repairs will be required every year.

  • Drivers are now driving in the middle of the road to avoid damaging their suspension as the road IS THAT BAD, and getting worse!

  • The temporary repair is of very poor quality. The stones thrown into the uneven hole are now kicked up surrounding the uneven road. An absolutely embarrassing repair

  • The tarmac and stones filled into this uneven piece of road is shoddy, with the road breaking up shortly after it was allegedly repaired. Again, this section of road requires a PROPER repair job AGAIN. Ask the owner of the land adjacent to remove the Lleylandii as they're sucking all the moisture in the subsoil. Drivers now move into the middle of the road to avoid the un-evenness of the road

  • The road is dangerous. There is a large pot hole that if a motorcyclist was to drive over or into it that could cause a serious injury. Allegedly this road repair in 2019 was the b-all-to-end-all with a good hard hardcore but its back to square one now. Only earlier today a neighbour was complaining about it to me. So its not just me that has a complaint.

  • The problem has not been fixed. What is the matter with this road that it always appear to sink in the middle and no matter how many tarmac fills there have been this small are always appears to subside? what is the problem and why does it always take a year or two for the problem to be sorted. Residents were hoping that the complete fill, allegedly with a concrete base, would be the last time this work would be needed. there is something seriously wrong with a small piece of this road.

  • Some more new white chalk has been highlighted around the area, so someone somewhere is aware of the need for repair but how long this may take to resolve only they know.
