Tree Preservation Order application

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 13:31, Friday 25 September 2020

Sent to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council less than a minute later

On the bottom left hand corner of my garden is a fully mature, magnificent oak tree which is 150 - 200 years of age. It is home to numerous varieties of birds including a visiting Owl and squirrels. It is enhances the natural ambience of the garden and the natural wildlife that it supports. The neighbour to the rear of the premises has recently asked myself to remove the tree due to the leaves and roots which encroach onto his rear garden. IU am gravely concerned that he showed a total disregard to natural beauty of this tree and the contribution it gives to our local environment and habit. I am fearful that he will seek to damage, destroy, poison the tree. It is for this reason in order to protect a historical tree, a tree that enhances the habit, that I apply for a tree preservation order.

Updates

  • The neighbour at the rear is complaining because this magnificent Oak is encroaching on his land by a couple of inches behind his shed. The land is barren and is not used. He only has o e answer, to fell the tree and is now threatening legal action against me. I would have thought he would have some empathy for his natural surroundings being a health care professional!!!!!!
