Road Has Totally Fallen Apart

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2300277.

This road is an accident waiting to happen, pretty much from one end to the other. There are so many potholes, areas where the surface is failing, areas where there's just a patchwork of repairs and sections where the edge of the road surface has collapsed entirely, you spend more time looking out for these, than you do looking ahead for other road users. Given this road has a national speed limit and people come flying down it, I'd rather be looking out for them, than trying to work out which potholes I'll have to hit in order to miss the larger ones. To be honest, it needs fully resurfacing before someone has a serious accident here.

    Re: Skiff Lane, Loxwood

    Thank you for your report via Fix MyStreet regarding the condition of the above lane.

    The lane was inspected on the 11 September and defects have been raised to repair one pothole within 5 days and others within 28 days- there are also several potholes that are currently not at intervention level and will be monitored. This is currently on a future programme for carriageway patching followed by re-surfacing.
