Deteriorating Tarmac
Reported in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 09:06, Tue 15 September 2020
Sent to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council less than a minute later
The surface of the shared use path between the bridge over the railway and Magyar Crescent is deteriorating presumably due to roots from nearby trees. This has made it particularly uneven at points.
This is a high traffic area for pedestrians, scooters and cyclists, particularly children given it is a route to the nearby school. Being increasingly uneven, this now poses a hazard with a risk of trips or falls. The route therefore needs resurfacing.
The opportunity should also be taken to widen the route to make it more compatible with large volumes of mixed use traffic particularly for the school run, to meet the standards of LTN 1/20 and with better connectivity to Magyar Crescent.
