Path narrowed by shrubs and hazardous mud covering path and verge.

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 13:47, Sun 13 September 2020

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2292273.

East side of Winchester Road (NOT Wychwood Grove). Mud gathers on the footpath which is treacherous when wet, and forces people on to grass verge which becomes a sea of mud. Apart from the hazard, the mud coats shoes. The footpath is also narrowed significantly by shrubs that have not been cut back. This has been a problem for years now, and reported previously, but no action has been taken to make the patch safe and clean.

  • It's still there and getting worse. I suppose the bare mud verge saves on the grass cutting.
