Overgrown hedges

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 09:13, Sat 12 September 2020

Sent to Torbay Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2290751.

The hedges along the pavement are so over grown that it has become difficult to pass with a small child and pushchair. Especially as some of the overhanging plants are brambles with thorns which have scratched the children on more than one occasion.

Updates

  • I was informed by the council that this area was scheduled to be cut back in September. Yet it is worse than before now due to the bad weather. Very dangerous to disabled people, pushchairs and small children. The other option is to cross the road but safety crossing is further along the road and the road is very busy in the mornings.
