Path narrowed by shrubs and hazardous mud covering path and verge.
Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 15:15, Fri 11 September 2020
Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2290092.
East side of road. Mud gathers on the footpath which is treacherous when wet, and forces people on to grass verge which becomes a sea of mud. Apart from the hazard, the mud coats shoes. The footpath is also narrowed significantly by shrubs that have not been cut back. This has been a problem for years now, and reported previously, but no action has been taken to make the patch safe and clean.

This has been a problem for years and is getting worse. Maybe if a councillor were to walk between Hiltingbury Road along Winchcester Road to Fryern they might appreciated what many residents have to negotiate whether it be wet or dry. Wet is worst of course, and can damage shoes or cause and accident when someone slips.

Do any councillors live along this road and walk to Fryern Arcade? Maybe it's because it is the only Conservative voting area in Eastleigh.
