Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later

Kissing-gate across the path, at the location of the pin on the map, and shown in the photos. No mention of a kissing gate on the definitive statement. Moreover the land is not being grazed.

  • As residenta for 30+ year we can assure you that this gate and the one on the opposite side of the lane were there when we came to the village in 1987. DT

  • Thank you. We don't doubt what you say - however, 30 years is only a recent fraction of the history of the path. The fact remains that the kissing gate is not recorded as a lawful limitation, and (unlike that on the opposite side of the lane) is not performing any function to prevent animals from escaping. Public paths need to be kept as obstacle-free as possible, for the benefit of the less able in our communities.

  • The field it leads into has been home to cattle in the past before the new development. This sounds like you just don’t know the area.
