Sent to Stevenage Borough Council less than a minute later
The plant is growing in the public park adjoining Newbury Close and Wilson Close. My gardener identified the plant as Japanese knotweed. The plant is hidden by bushes on the park side but is close to the garden fence on the border of the two properties.
We have confirmed identification and a programme of treatment, with a specialist contractor, will take place twice a year. The first application will be in October and again in May until eradicated

Following further inspection we have identified this plant as Himalayan Honeysuckle. This looks similar to Japanese knotweed, but not evasive.
