About 30 potholes along Westfield road, several are very large and take up most of the road. They are up to 6 inches deep. There is also a rough raised area as you turn onto Westfield road from Sleaford ( like a large speed bump), it means you have to almost stop to turn in from the A15 which has a 60 mph limit, this makes it very dangerous as people don't expect you to stop when turning left.

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 375931.

The potholes have been getting steadily worse all summer but the recent rain has made them almost impassable. The raised rough area at the junction with the A15 is especially dangerous.

  • Someone (probably the farmer) has dumped a load of rubble in the potholes.

  • The area where the farmer carried out the bodged repair has deteriorated and the potholes are now deeper than ever due to the raised surface. This issue has been showing as scheduled for fixing for some time but nothing has happened. This is extremely disappointing because the condition of the road (wet and muddy) means when the pothole are eventually repaired the first winter ice will lift the repair and it will be back to the usual state. This section of road needs a proper repair not just some tarmac squashed into the hole which is what normally happens.
