At least half a dozen houses along Iffley Road close to the Plain roundabout store their bins on the pavement as permanent obstructions. Today is Wednesday - bin day on Iffley Road is Friday - the bins never move.

The majority of these houses seem to be on the HMO register so perhaps a word with the landlords is in order.

  • Reply by email: "Unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions still in place (our offices are still closed and the majority of staff are still working from home) our Recycling Liaison Officers are still unable to carry out educational visits, as soon as our services are fully operational again, I will arrange for one of our Officers to attend the area and educate the residents on bringing their bins back in after collection."

Meanwhile, the pavement is still impassable, and the bins stink.
