Right hand junction sign after Tittymouse Lane on A342 fallen down

Reported in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 16:08, Mon 31 August 2020

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2271827.

Road sign indicating right hand junction between the exit of Tittymouse Lane and the small lane at Prebbles Lodge on the A342 heading away from Andover has fallen down sometime since 25th August 2020. This is a straight section of national speed limit road and there have been some nasty accidents and near misses as people pull out onto the A342 or turn right off the A342 into the lane.

Updates

  • We have been aware of a number of near misses resulting from there being no road sign indicating the turning, particularly from overtaking manoeuvres as road users leave Weyhill as they head NW along the A342 with road users turning out of or into the lane at Prebbles Lodge.
