Could this hedge be cut back please so that all the public footpath can be used for a wide pushchair. Thank you

The council don't think it's a problem if you can only use half of the path. So they aren't going to do anything about getting it cut back.

I thought the idea of a footpath was for walking on but the council think it's ok for hedges, trees and plants to over grow onto them. It adds character and makes the paths look better......
