Reported via iOS in the Drainage category anonymously at 06:55, Tuesday 25 August 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2261795.

Water flooding down the road and into the drive of 14 Fogwell Road when heavy rain. Vehicles causing huge splashes across front of house and pavement. This is the fifth report by myself in a few months and I know others have reported as well the same issue. How long until this is fixed properly?, this happens every time it rains.

  • Thank you for your report and update .The water is coming from a piped ditched and coming out of a manhole cover with a plant pot on top of it. This pipe ditched is maintain by Thames Water. This connects to the surface water sewer in the road which is also maintained by Thames Water. There seems to be some blockage between the manhole and the surface water sewer. OCC Highways are only responsible for drains (gullies) on the road and these connect into the Thames Water surface sewer. We understand our drains are working. And the water from the manhole cover is for Thames Water to resolve. We have contacted Thames Water several times about the issue and asked them to resolve it. We will contact them again. You may wish to contact them directly, there Telephone number is 0800 316 9800 Posted by Oxfordshire County Council at 10:34, Tuesday 25 August 2020
