Blocked drain
Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 13:12, Sun 23 August 2020
Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2259143.
I have reported this at least twice previously. It keeps happening, so I presume that there is a collapsed drain somewhere. Its the drain at the junction of Clifton Road and Bath street. The drains in my part of Rugby are mostly choked with gravel and rubbish up to road level. After many complaints a few streets were partially cleared but there are many more that have been full for years and nothing has been done about them. Its about time the whole of Benn ward was done. When it rains heavily, water pours from the drains on Clifton Road at the top of Oxford street. As Clifton Rd is a high point it seems unlikely but that is what happens. Oh, and when Oxford st, Oxford st. etc was partially unblocked the road signs announcing the road closures were just left there. That was in March.

The flooding is getting worse affecting both the road and the pavement. Because of the "jutting out" pavement section on the corner it is especially dangerous for visually impaired pedestrians who cannot see the edges of the pavement.
