Drivers are speeding up and down the street not keeping to speed limit

Reported anonymously at 19:39, Thu 20 August 2020

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2255754.

Many car drivers speeding up and down this street. Not safe for children and elderly to cross the road. Drivers are not paying any attention to speed limits in this street and many cars going far too fast and not slowing down. screeching breaks and no suitable speed bumps to deter drivers from speeding. Youths joy riding on motor bikes and in cars. Extremely dangerous and no deterrent to prevent this . Surely bollards are needed to stop drivers from cutting through these streets and speeding where many small children and families are living. Pedestrians should have a right of way when trying to cross the road. There isn't even a pedestrian crossing where children can cross the busy Pontefract Lane and east park roads when trying to get to school and cars are speeding along Pontefract Lane during school hours particularly. This is going to lead to a fatal accident in this area. As well as residents having to put up with the noise and disruption of speeding cars and youths joy riding.
