Potholes, ruts in street, no edge to road. Huge lorries using road

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 22:27, Mon 17 August 2020

Sent to Aberdeen City Council less than a minute later

From the bottom of Binghill Road there are potholes, subsidence, rutting of the road and no edge leaving the road to lose the tarmac. It has been like this for years and by the traffic lights some have been filled about 2 years ago but are now just a mess of holes. I cannot uderstand why other smaller roads in the area with very few potholes are being resurfaced. We need the WHOLE road tarred it is a disgrace.

  • I have had no acknowledgement of my complaint from the local council. Perhaps it's because the builders are using that street for access to their site instead of their own roads within their new builds. I think the council might repair the road when the houses have been completed in SIX years time.

  • Despite putting in a complaint in August I have had no acknowledgement from the council. Binghill Road is in a disgraceful state of ruts, potholes subsidence and road edges gone. The council have repaired the road to the golf club in Bieldside and other smaller roads around the area...WHY the delay for Binghill Road. Could it be because of the huge lorries using the road and pavement? Belonging to the developer. We all feel extremely let down by the council who are not working on behalf of the tax payers but developers.
