The Footpath is obstructed by a VERY OVERGROWN HEDGE. This is a very busy road, with only one footpath. We walk here every day and it is very unsafe for pedestrians. Please reinstate footpath & cut back hedge severely. Thank you.

As a pedestrian I have to step Off the path into the road as the hedge is so overgrown. This is very dangerous as it’s a very busy road with cars and HGV driving at speed. It’s quite frightening and there is no alternative since there is no other pedestrian footpath. We walk along this path twice a day at rush hour. Please cut the hedge back severely as soon as possible. Thank you.

  • The problem was partially addressed with a promise to return to complete the work to reinstate the path. The followup visit has not happened yet almost 1 month later.

Today 7.9.20 part of the path is still little more than 12 inches wide.

This renders the path unsafe on what is a very busy road. At times I have to wait for traffic to subside and step into the road unable to use the path with lorries, vans, caravans etc using the road. There is no alternative as there is only a footpath on one side of the road.

Please return and remove the soil, overgrown vegetation and debris obstructing the footpath. Thank you

  • This photo shows the problem. To the right of the lamp post is the fence, the width of the original path. However you can see all the overgrown shrubbery, soil and weeds which has grown across the path. In parts the available path for a pedestrian to walk on is less than 12inches making it unsafe to pass. This is especially dangerous at peak traffic times or when lorries, vans etc pass you when the vehicle has large wing mirrors which could strike the pedestrian.

Can the debris be removed ASAP to improve the safety for pedestrians. Also see the lamp post has been damaged and the internal electrical are exposed to adverse weather. Thank .you
