Larch Drive signage
Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 21:25, Mon 10 August 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2239418.
This is another report as I am not happy with your response.
I initially said: We need some signage at the entrance to the estate to say no through road. Lots of vehicles come up Larch Drive to get through to Diamond Drive but can't due to the bus gate. This often means people park across the ends of drives as in this image.

Thank you for this report. As part of the bus gate design, a sign is due to be erected in advance of the bus gate, to give motorists the chance to turn around before being faced with the restriction, this is expected to be on Larch Drive around the junction with Willow End. This report is now closed.
My further comments: A sign at Willow End/Larch Drive is too late as drivers have already made it this far. There needs to be a sign at the entrance to the estate at Park Road/Larch Drive advising drivers that you cannot get through to the main Great Western Park.

We have agreed with Taylor Wimpey to install an additional sign at the junction with Larch Drive/Park Road, advising of the no through road.
Unfortunately we cannot give any timescales as to when this will be completed due to a number of factors.
Kind regards
