Feeding the pigeons
Reported anonymously at 11:07, Wed 11 January 2012
Sent to Cardiff Council 3 minutes later
Someone is feeding the pigeons on the corner of Bishops rd and Merthyr rd. This is a very busy and dangerous junction for pedestrians and traffic, now there is the extra danger of pigeons flying out into the path of the cars, there has already been at least one dead bird in the road. There is going to be a nasty accident there if this person isn't stopped and directed to the park by the library only ten minutes walk away. I have spoken to the police and the department of the enviroment and it seems that no-one is willing to do anything. Something must be done before there is an injury or fatality.

There are at least two people feeding the pigeons often at about 2.30 - 3pm. My husband spoke to the lady a couple of years ago but her attitude was that she'd do as she liked. She couldn't or wouldn't see the dangers of what she was doing. The birds are fed more than once a day, I see them gathering as if they know what time they are going to be fed.
I only go past in the car so I can't speak to these people and find out who they are. Perhaps the Community Support Officers can do something. Someone has to before there is an accident.

No-one wants to know. I've tried the police and the Dept of the Enviroment.

there are several people feeding the pigeons at different times of the day and several people asking them not to do it. Two minutes walk away there is a churchyard a much more suitable and safe place for all concerned.
