Can not get out of parking space

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 07:53, Monday 3 August 2020

Sent to Blackpool Borough Council less than a minute later

When my car park is full, I can not get out, because the double yellow lines do not go back/forward far enough to let me out.

If someone parks outside my property then I can not get out.

As you can see in the photo, the mini car has blocked me in.

I could not move my car for 3 days as I could not find the driver of the mini car.

I have noticed that all other tenants have white lines outside their property so no one can park there, but we have not.

It is extremely difficult, impossible to get out of my space when a car is parked right outside my parking space.

It is a very easy job to sort out, and will only take five minutes to complete.

Please help Kind regards

  • Please contact Parking Services on 01253 476395 if your dropped kerb to your property is ever blocked. They will be able to issue a Penalty Charge Notice to the offending vehicle and tow it away if it blocks a householder from getting off their property.

  • The problem is still there! If a car parks outside my property, I can not get out of my space. The double yellow lines need to come back a few feet because I can not get out of parking space on property if a car is parked there. It really doesn't make any sense. Surely you can see what i am talking about. I have complained about this now for months, and nothing has happened. Please help. It's like someone has removed the yellow lines so they can park. Please help
