'Speed' Bumps On High Town Road Don't Reduce Speed

The speed bumps on High Town Road do not reduce the speed of vehicles at all. I have cars and vans speeding down my road at ridiculous speeds (easily over 50mph). There is a school at the bottom of the hill and cars often parked on both sides which makes it an accident waiting to happen. There have already been a number of crashes on High Town Road all of which, I think, could have been prevented if speed bumps were across the entire road, higher and not just little lumps in the middle that are ineffective. A speed trap on that road would prove my point and I know all of the local residents would agree. Thank you.
