Weeds growing in newly relaid footpath in Barlings Road
Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 08:34, Thu 23 July 2020
Sent to Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2212847.
A small section of the footpath was relaid just a few weeks ago and yet weeds are growing. The contractors should be instructed to come back and do the job properly at their own expense and in their own time

Why does anyone want to waste Millions of pounds to live in an area like this, its beyond me. There are lovely houses which get pulled down for no reason at all other than corporate greed from developers, and all around this area, there is NEVER a time when the area is totally FREE from skips, builders and contractors vans, or unsightly white hoardings next to demolition sites, and endless building in peoples back gardens. Some may consider this area to be 'posh' but it is a shadow of its former self compared to when people such as Eric Morcambe lived around here. To the best of my knowledge, Harpenden does not even have a hotel anymore.
I would not want to live here, and the new builds all look awful, and have no character at all.
This was once a lovely place.

Ah, so true. Best wishes for Christmas, and one hopes that the new year will be a vast improvement on this one.
Kind regards.
