Concrete bollard knocked down

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 13:51, Wed 22 July 2020

Sent to Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2211936.

A concrete bollard has been knocked down and broken on the corner of Countesthorpe Road and Best Close. It is on the pavement which was already in a state since the water board did work and didn't finish it properly leaving holes in the pavement and some cones and fencing behind. It is an eyesore and dangerous. It has been like this for several months.

Updates

  • The barriers were tidied up within days but the bollard is still broken and there is also the remains of a metal sign sticking out of the ground. One of the barriers has already fallen down.

  • This is still there. Barriers fell down again and have been put up. One of the several broken bollards had rolled onto the pavement and has now been removed. It is an eyesore and dangerous for people turning out of Best Close as the view to the right is badly obscured by the barriers.
