Broken tiles on speed table

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 21:31, Mon 20 July 2020

Sent to Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2209337.

Two sections of the rubber speed table on Moira Road adjacent to the junction of Moira Road and Brooks Close have been ripped from the road surface, effectively creating a pothole on the edge of the northbound lane of the road. This appears to have occurred today.

Updates

  • LCC have attempted to fix the problem 5 times; every time they try to patch it up, the hole re-appears within a day or two. The patching consists of filling the holes left by removed sections with cold rolled tarmac, and tamping it down; no attempt has been made to replace one loose section, which is constantly being pushed down hill. Another patching exercise was undertaken on Friday 14th August - there is already another significant gap in the surface.
