Overhanging trees etc, at Pedestrian Crossing Control

Reported in the Hedges / Trees on road or verge category anonymously at 21:19, Mon 20 July 2020

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

This was reported to the Parish Council last year. The area around the Pedestrian Light mainly on the left hand side of the road (the village side) of the railway bridge, it is becoming dangerous due to the overhanging trees, brambles and ivy at pedestrian crossing and for pedestrians and sight lines through to the other side of the bridge for drivers. This especially as last year we had a number of occasions when it got gridlocked due to heavy traffic from issues on the motorway/junction15. The reason for the review of this is that there has been an additional years growth and of course with Covid 19 and social distancing more people are using both footpaths. I know we are well down the road with this now but saw a couple of people step out into the road with vehicles coming up behind them from the Warwick side (even more of an issue now with big increase in road use). Hope this could be revisited and attended to as and when circumstances will allow.
