The tree outside my home at 4 Worton Gardens has been sick and dying over the last three years and it has now died. There is no greenery on this and there was no blossom in the spring due its deterioration in health. The branches are falling off and have been hazardous and dangerous to pedestrians walking past it. It is also dangerous to road users and the falling branches can damage cars parked in the LBH parking bay next to it. As it is dead the tree is not adding any of the LBH criteria for the benefits of having street trees as per your website: - adding colour to the urban environment (no leaves just dead grey trunk and falling branches) - helping to lower dust and noise levels (does not do this it adds to the dust and noise with the breaking branches) - providing habitats for a range of wildlife (animals and birds no longer use this tree as it gives them no benefit or shelter) - reducing pollutant gases such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide (as it is dead this does not happen) - potentially increasing property prices (the condition this is in looks like it will reduce property prices) - moderating temperature (it is dead so does not do this) - providing a sense of well being (dead tree so well being is the opposite it provides it is very disheartening looking at this especially during lockdown). Please address this as soon as possible as it really is an eyesore and disheartening looking at the condition it has been reduced to out of my window everyday).
