Speeding cars and motorcycles

Reported anonymously at 17:40, Sat 18 July 2020

Sent to Torbay Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2206273.

The road is like a drag strip at times, cars and motorcycles break the 30 limit, I’d estimate some at twice that. I mention it to a hobby Bobby, and she replied’they know the speed limit is 30’ Really? Come and spend an hour with a speed Gun, that would change your mind

Updates

  • Nothing at all has been done to rectify this problem. The police would be laughing all the way to the bank if they just came along with a speed gun for a few hours.

  • Babbacombe Rd from around Lisburne Crescent up to and beyond The Warberries is often like a drag strip for speeding cars and bikes, the drivers/riders of which doing speeds upwards of 50 mph, many of them higher than that.
