Approx 12" in Diameter pothole on Lichfield Road, close to the junction with Lyndhurst Drive. It is outside the driveway to No 1.

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 14:50, Friday 17 July 2020

Sent to Lancashire County Council less than a minute later

This pothole has been here for some months and was deepened by recent repeat earthworks by the Water Authority. I believe it may have been caused by the unloading and reloading of digging equipment.

  • To my knowledge nobody has even been to look at this problem. It is currently partially full of pebbles and sand, which is slowly being spread by passing traffic down the road.

  • The hole appears to have got bigger since my last report. The edges are crumbling more and the sand and pebbles that were in it are now spreading around the roadway. Since the kids started back to school, this road has again become a dropping off/ pick-up point for them, resulting in an increase in traffic. I understand some surveyor's have been looking at this road as a through route for building work at the school and expect the problem will only get worse, if this is true.
