Small (ish) sunken cover in carriageway.

Reported in the Gully or manhole defect category anonymously at 16:32, Thu 9 July 2020

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

A small cast iron cover to a gas or water cock is sunken in the recently laid tarmac presenting a hazard particularly to cyclists. If you hit it at 20mph - easy to do going down hill) it is unpleasant and potentially dangerous, Arguably still the responsibilty of the contractors who relaid the road in 2019.

  • I reported this in early July, it's now late September, WCC had been out and sprayed yellow paint around it but now that has now worn away (you can just make it out) and the cover remains unrepaired.
