Traffic Island (Roundabout) - Blocked Drain - Standing Water

Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 14:17, Wed 8 July 2020

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

The problem is at least 4+ months old - Blocked drain (On the side of the roundabout - Heading towards Warwick) causing large volume of standing water forcing traffic to take avoidance crossing lanes on entering and exiting. When the water has subsided it leaves a residue on the road surfaces that compromises the road surfaces grip.

  • The roundabout outside our gate (Swallowfields Farm) and JLR entrance is constantly flooded during heavy rain which will cause accidents when it freezes. Also water streams down our other entrance on B4100 washing gravel down to our yard. Possibly a good cleaning out of the drains would cure both problems and maybe a higher kerb by our gate?
