Large lime trees obscuring light from residents flats and roots encroaching on the building

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 13:08, Mon 6 July 2020

Sent to Stratford-on-Avon District Council less than a minute later

The three large lime trees at the end of New Street and junction of Saffron Meadow have grown enormously in the last few years. They are greatly obscuring the light in the ground floor flats and the roots are visibly encroaching on our building - flats 1,3, 5, 7,9 & 11 Saffron Meadow. My surveyor when I purchased my flat in June 2018 recommended that the crowns should be lowered to prevent the roots spreading further. This would also increase the light available in all the flats. My neighbours are happy for me to deal with this matter on their behalf.
