Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 23:31, Thu 8 December 2011
Sent to Norfolk County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 217322.
Coming into S Walsham from Acle there is a deep depression in the road surface towards the LHS of the road, if one drives over it it causes a violent jolt to thre vehicle and one risks damaging ones vehicle, if one serves to avoid it one risks collision with vehicle travelling in the opposite direction. It appears to be due to some form of subsidence.

I had an email from County Council Highway Dep saying that the depression was due to a sunken valve cover and they had raised some form or another on Anglia Water but to date nothing has been done. I just hope that it does not cause an accident.

I did hear from NCC that they had raised some form or another on Anglian Water. I consider it is time that NCC took some very strong action themselves. It is no good them just raising forms on Anglia Water, they do nothing.

Are the County Highways going to leave it until such times as it severely damages a vehicle or causes an accident?
