One way system needs to be more visable

I live in The Royal Standard pub, and since I’ve been here in February, I have seen (and tried to stop) many vehicles go up New High Street and turn onto London Road, rather than use the one way system.
To help combat this, I believe ‘no entrance‘ signs should be erected, the one-way system to be clearer and also a concrete island at the junction, to help segregate the cycle lane from motor vehicles.
There has been a few minor incidents that the CCTV has captured. This will be an on-going issue if this is ignored.

A small water cover in the pavement has come off just by the mobile phone shop in Headington shops. It’s close to the local Tescos, by the crossing. The cover can’t be seen. Someone could potentially hurt themselves if they tread on it without seeing it.

One way signs and road markings are provided at the London Road Junction and No entry signs and road markings are provided at the other end of New High Street. Unfortunately, observations suggest many motorists chose to ignore this and turn around in the road to exit back onto the London Road.
Sadly this is a matter for thames Valley Police to enforce. However, i will ask an inspector to check the road markings and signage to ensure that they are in good order,
