It is a 50 ml an hour road, and there are walkers and cyclist around this area. We drove at less than 30 mls per hour which was plenty. Please please change the speed limit before a life is lost

Sent to Leicestershire County Council and North West Leicestershire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2154811.

The road is 50 ml per hour speed limit. Please please change it to 30 ml per hour before someone gets killed. Area has walkers and cyclist around and is quite a narrow road

  • I fully support this plea. The mining-related subsidence in this area has previously caused 3 deaths in a vehicle that became uncontrollable just South of the rail bridge due to the very uneven surface, which has not improved. Along with the Hicks Lodge car park entry and egress, and its adjacent cycle and pedestrian crossing, this road is unfit to accept 50mph through-traffic at this point.
