Road regularly flooded - investigation needed

Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 14:02, Tue 9 June 2020

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

There are two issues:

1. The brook at the side of the road overflows at grid ref 398707 so that it blocks the road and threatens houses to the west for about 300 metres

2. The drains to get the water off the road into the brook are blocked so runoff is not managed efficiently

This happens regularly, several times a year, threatening houses. It is avoidable.

Solution: 1. Dig the brook out at the grid ref indicated - or protect the road from the overflow

2. Unblock the existing surface water drains to get the water off the road into the brook

The summer is the right time to act on this to ensure things are managed correctly in the autumn.

I can provide more information if required.
