400mm pothole

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 18:24, Sun 7 June 2020

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2145908.

There is a constant trail of water running over the road, more holes are starting to appear further down the road. As it is in the tyre track is would be a danger to cyclists, difficult to avoid

Updates

  • Pothole getting bigger approx twice the original size! No markings seen to indicate that it is being dealt with 🙁

  • This pothole is a real danger now. To avoid it vehicles must pull right over to the other side of the lane which is narrow therefore scratching their vehicles. Large vehicles can not avoid and so are exacerbating the problem. After the rain the pothole was obscured by water and my son was unable to avoid it and has slashed his tyre requiring a new one.

  • Have looked at council website apparently it has been passed to contractor but no update as to when, in the mean time the hole is getting bigger and more of the topcoat is being eroded away by the constant running water
