The grass verges all along the road through Garford air being badly eroded by vehicles and particularly heavy goods vehicles. Pedestrians have to walk on the verges as there are no pavements, it is becoming dangerous. This road is single track there is no room for vehicles to pass and they are using the verges as a road. Please do something about this ASAP.

This problem is getting worse each year. Cars and heavy lorries are using Garford as a rat run. A lot of heavy vehicles are using the road as access to and from Lyford Business park or are going into Chadwick Farm. Private vehicles are driving through Garford each day to avoid main road traffic. This high traffic is often breaking 30 mph speed limits and destroying the grass verges that residents have to use to walk on and creating a vast number of potholes. In addition this is causing hazardous air pollution to residents and destroying the ambience and peace of the village. My house shakes when heavy vehicles drive past. No Through road signs need to be erected at each end of the village and heavy goods vehicles prohibited except for those requiring access to Chadwick Farm and a tonnage limit needs to be set on those. Something needs to be done urgently before an accident occurs.

This problem is getting worse, the road now floods outside of Willard House every time it rains.
The road is being eroded, particularly along the edges where cars and heavy vehicles pull on to the verges, this is causing deep puddles when it rains and the water cannot therefore run into the nearby drain. This section of the road is now a river when it rains. Also the drain on the opposite side of the road appears to be blocked.
This problem was reported in June and nothing has been done to rectify it and it is now an increasing problem for the residents. The problem needs rectifying ASAP.
