Overgrown bushes across the footpath

Reported anonymously at 13:54, Thu 4 June 2020

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council and North Hertfordshire District Council less than a minute later

On Great Ashby way, just North of the red dog poop bin on the east side of the road, the communal plantings left by the developers are blocking the footpath. As they are directly behind garages for houses in Thirlmere, I assume nobody wants to take responsibility for them. Kindly trim them hard back so they won't require further attention over the growing period.

  • After I was told by NHDC that this problem was the responsibility of the homeowners behind the wall in Thirlmere, one council dropped by and did a half-hearted cutting back, but didn't remove all the debris that others had cut back and left in the undergrowth. All in all, it was a poor effort, but the hazard element has been removed
