Dangerous road layout

Road layout from Chapel lane to entrance to shops needs to be change. Dangerous mix of speeding vehicles along Chapel lane, any speed check would confirm this, motorists speeding into the shopping lane (often on the wrong side of the carriageway. Traffic exiting the covert almost being hit by traffic coming into the shopping lane on the wrong side of the road. Parking on pavement with no protection for pedestrians. No where to cross road from the pavement on chapel lane over to the shops.

I've observed several near misses from speeding cars, cars on the wrong side of the road. Car on car, car on pedestrians, cars on cyclists. Particular issue with parking over the dropped curb on the covert, where those with mobility issues cannot get to the Pharmacy. Traffic and bad parking (not enforced) only makes this worse.

This needs to be changed it's only a matter of time.

A one-way system (from entrance opposite cold harbour lane) may be a solution with a crossing or similar, as well as some action to stop speeding along this road. It's a built up residential area, this needs to be taken seriously before there is a fatality.
