Dangerous kerbside on footpath near crossing

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 13:03, Wed 3 June 2020

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2140690.

The 'dropped' side of the kerb, next to the tarmac cycle/footpath is about 9-10cm below the level surface and is dangerous to pedestrians/cyclists. Yesterday afternoon (2nd. June 2020) at 14.10hr, I crossed the light operated crossing, on my bike, went through the wooden barriers and my front wheel dropped suddenly as it went over the kerbside and made me come off my bike. No damage was done to my bike, but I cut my arm, and bruised my leg. This really needs looking at ASAP. If this is TVBC's responsibility and not HCC PLEASE direct it to them.

Updates

  • HCC have contacted me to say they will fix it (when?). I cycled across it today and it's still the same.
