Build up of foul smelling debris in Charlton Lakes at the bridge where the water flows to Carters Meadow

Reported in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 22:23, Sunday 31 May 2020

Sent to Test Valley Borough Council less than a minute later

There is a heavy build up of foul smelling pond weed/ debris under the bridge where the water flows from Charlton Lakes to Carters Meadow. It’s progressively getting worse and the smell is awful. It’s formed a deep crust almost and is trapped on the plants and weed. Not at all pleasant .

Updates

  • The debris was cleared to allow the water to run better but it was just piled up on the bank so the smell is still there.
